Sophia's Quick Chocolate Muffins

For our niece's first birthday, I made chocolate muffins with toy building blocks made from edible play do. She didn't eat any of them, however, apparently she's one of these strange children who like only healthy food - no cake! Well, she's not related to me, otherwise it would be even stranger ;-) I used funny colorful paper muffin forms instead of the baking paper squares for a change. They muffin forms are also better for seeing the decorations of top of the muffins!

Ingredients for 12 muffins:
200 g sugar
200 g flour
60 g cocoa
2 TSP baking powder
1 TSP baking soda
2 eggs
125 ml neutral oil
125 ml water

Decorations:
100 g white chocolate
Edible play do/marzipan/fondant

Energy: 300 kcal per muffin

Preparation:
Line a muffin pan with paper muffin forms or baking paper squares. Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl. Add the liquid ingredients and mix to a smooth, shiny cake batter. Fill the batter into the molds and bake at 170°C with convection for 20 min.

Set the muffins to cool on a rack and form the decorations out of the edible play do. Melt the chocolate (microwave or baine marie) and spread it on the muffins, using a spoon.

Add the edible play do decorations and you have Sophia's Quick Chocolate Muffins!
